If you're an executor, you're going to be preparing an extra income tax return (or two) this year... The good news is that you can get expert help with these returns, and they're not likely to be very complicated anyway. You'll definitely be filing the final state and federal income tax returns for the deceased person. And if the estate stays open long enough to receive a certain amount of income, it will need its own income tax return as well.
